Upcoming Trips

It's been kind of quiet travel-wise around here, what with medical school eating up most (okay let's be honest, all) of my time, but I do have at least one fun trip planed in the near future, and hopefully one or two more on the way.

For sure: Spring break in MEXICO!!!! I'll be heading out with several of my classmates for both my first cruise, my first trip to New Orleans, and my first time in Mexico. We'll be hitting up Cozumel and Progresso, so expect a lot of photos of me drinking tequila and swimming with the fishes.

This. Lots and lots of this.

I've also applied to an ethics fellowship at Auschwitz, which would mean I would spend most of June in Germany and Poland. If I get in, I also plan on doing some cliche back-packing-through-Europe, so keep your fingers crossed for me.

Barring that, I'm applying to a medical service project in Istanbul, Turkey. Because seriously, how many chances will I have to work at a hospital in Istanbul?

There's also a high probability of me living in NYC for a portion of this summer for an orthopedics externship. While I'd be living on a poor medical student budget, it means I could finally see my first On Broadway show (and probably several off-off-Broadway shows) and finally address the debate between NY and Chicago-style pizza (spoilers: Chicago is better).

Let the games begin!
